Obituary for Eric C. Johnson

Eric Craig Johnson 71 years of age. Passed peacefully in his home of Stoddard WI on June 25, 2024, Eric was born October 25, 1953 in Chicago Illinois, was the son of the late Kenneth Paul Johnson and Inez Jacqulyn Sholin. He is survived by his wife Tammy Johnson whom he married may 30, 2010 in La Crosse WI. Three brothers, Roger Johnson (Li) of Searcy Arkansas, Ronald Johnson (Alison) Searcy Arkansas, Hugh Hardman of Panama City, Florida, one daughter Tracy Bjergum of La Crosse WI, sixteen grandchildren. Eric attended the King Street Church of Christ in La Crosse WI, from 1996-2012, after which he moved to Stoddard with his wife, and attended the Stoddard Methodist church. Eric worked for Wafer Food Pantry for 13 years as the warehouse manager in addition to delivering the La Crosse Tribune in Stoddard and nearby areas. In 2021 Eric retired from Wafer Food Pantry, where he then began working part time at River Rats as a prep cook. Eric was a delivery driver for Vernon county meals on wheels for a short time. Over the years Eric still found pleasure in watching his grandchildren participate in various sporting events, enjoying WWE, crossword puzzles, playing spades, he enjoyed any good time spent with his family and friends. Eric will always be remembered for not only his sense of humor, wittiness, hard dedication in helping others and serving his community but also his great love for his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., July 6, 2024, at the Stoddard Community Methodist Church. Burial will be held in the Stoddard Village Cemetery. No visitation will be held before the memorial service July 6 at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made, in Eric's memory, to the WAFER Food Pantry.
