Obituary for Duane A. "Dewey" Hoeth


Duane "Dewey" Hoeth, age 85 of Stevenstown,WI went home to the Lord surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 18th at Hillsboro Hospital. He was born on January 4th, 1937 in La Crosse, WI to Clarence and Helen Hoeth (Schneider). A graduate of Central High School, he went on to work 39 years at The Radford Company in La Crosse. From there, he worked a short time at Menards and ended his working years at his favorite job of them all - a camp ranger at Camp Ehawee. He married the love of his life on September 26th, 1959. A beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and friend, he was adored by everyone he met. Dewey will be most remembered for his mischievous sense of humor that never faltered, even in his final days. He was always the life of the party, enjoyed hunting, fishing, his dogs and especially spending time with his family. He was a man of strong faith which remained strong through decades of worship in the church to personal home visits later in his life from Pastor Allen. He is survived by his wife Colleen (Davis); his children Mark Hoeth, Terri (Greg) Pavlic, Karen Vieth, Steve (Jenny) Hoeth; grandchildren Beth, Jackie and Danny (Anna) Dobbs, Logan and Brandon Vieth, Katie and Jessica Hoeth, Tyler, Megan and Katie Pavlic and his two great grandchildren Isaiah and Grace. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Helen Hoeth and his step father Ray Schultz. A memorial service will be at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at the Mindoro Presbyterian Church. Pastor Allen Hanson will officiate. A private burial will be in Farmington Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service, Wednesday, at the church. A celebration of life will be at 5:30 p.m., at Cindy's in Mindoro. All are welcome to attend. A complete obituary will follow.
