Obituary for Glenda Neumann


On September 12, 2021, Glenda Mae Neumann passed away. She was born October 28, 1933, to Leo and Lillian (Gilbertson) King. On June 25, 1954, she married Donald W. Neumann and together they raised three children, Darrell, Eileen, and Dale. Glenda belonged to St. Peter’s Christian Community Church in New Albin where she held several offices and was active with the Women’s Fellowship. For several years, she managed the 4-H food stand at the fair. She also belonged to the area Homemaker’s Group. Glenda loved traveling and went on many trips with her family and friends. She loved feeding the calves and helped out in many ways on the farm, which was greatly appreciated by Dale and Elaine. She is survived by Darrell (Anita), Dale (Elaine), and Rick Davis; her grandchildren, Steven (Erin), Mark (Jenny) Neumann, and Amanda and Zachary (Bre) Davis; great-grandchildren; one brother, Barton King; and many nieces and nephews. Glenda was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her daughter, Eileen; a twin in infancy; and grandsons, Jason and Jeremy Davis. Memorial services will be Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the New Albin Community Center. Pastor Dick Wohlgemuth will officiate. A private burial with family will follow at the St. Peter’s Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the Community Center. The family would like to thank the staff at Thornton Manor Care Center in Lansing for the great care that Glenda received.
