Obituary for Dorothy A. Wolf


Dorothy A. Wolf, 86, of Bangor passed away peacefully Sunday, December 20, 2020, at Springbrook Assisted Living home, Onalaska. Dorothy was born August 10, 1934, in Mindoro to Warner and Mary (Lee) Haag. Dorothy attended school in Mindoro and graduated salutatorian of her class in 1952. On October 27, 1962, she married George Wolf and together they celebrated more than 58 years of marriage. Dorothy devoted her life to her partnership with George and the success of their family farm. Dorothy was a positive influence on the many children and young adults she got to know during her 40 years of driving school bus for the Bangor School District. Dorothy and George loved traveling together and over the years visited destinations as far away as Switzerland and Hawaii as well as regular trips to Mt. Rushmore and Bayfield, WI. Survivors include her husband, George; son, Mike (Suzanne) of Edgar; four grandchildren, Keshia (Alex) Mashak, Kyle, Kaleb, and Konnor; and one great granddaughter, Kynli. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Clifford (Mildred) Haag, Roger (Angeline) Haag, Donald (Margaret) Haag; and two sisters, Marjorie (Paul) Lunde, Helen (Glenn) Larson. A private graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 11, at Fairview Cemetery in Bangor. The Rev. Scott Skogen will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial to the Bangor Presbyterian Church or Sunshine on the Trail in Bangor.
